Beaufort Harbor and coast line between Charleston, S.C. and Savanna sic Ga., with 5 mile distance lines in circles round Beaufort, and R.R. connections, roads, &c, &c. (Civil War Map Reprint: 36" x 29")
High quality reproduction of a historic map from the Civil War Map Collection from the Library of Congress. (most 1860s-1890s). Collection contains nearly 1,700 maps from the digital collections. Some are just from the era of the Civil War, while most are battlefield maps made during or soon after the end of the war. We currently list only those maps that are in the public domain. These maps vary significantly in image density, size, wear, visual appeal, and quality. We are in the process of digitally "cleaning up" these maps to try to restore them to the extent possible. This is a very time consuming process and some types of damage cannot be repaired. We are also producing these maps as orders or inquiries are made about them individually (also keep in mind that some people want to receive prints of the maps as is--i.e. without removal of wear, aging, library stamps, and damage). Resolved Question: Question about North Carolina ( Beaufort County ) state laws?
Unfortunatley my beloved idiot boyfriend got pulled over doing 50 in a 35 the other night on his way home from a party. He was on a road that goes from a highway style down to residental area and he didn't realize he was speeding. Unfortunatley when he got pulled over the cop smelt alochol on his breath, and made him take a breathalizer test. I know since he is under 21 ( hes 19 ) he can't blow anything over 0.00. and he just happened to blow a .3 which I don't understand because he said he had 4 beers in four hours. He was driving because his brother ( whos 21 ) was completely smashed. The cop said his license is most likely going to be revoked. Does anyone know anything else about the penalty or a site I can check. I'm finding nothing. It's his first offence, and hes only lived there for 7months. Any insight is appreicated. Thanks.

Resolved Question: Restoration of neighborhood cemetary?
There's this really cool, old cemetary right behind my moms new apartment. It's like the neighborhood cemetary, and is right next to Beaufort National Cemetary. But the thing is, it's basically in shambles. There's trash everywhere, headstones are knocked over, it's overgrown, and there isn't even any sort of fence to separate it from the road. And then there's a bike path that rides right through it, literally right in front of a headstone. So it's like they're riding right overtop of the persons body. And it isn't even like the cemetary isn't being used anymore; graves are still being added.
It's a great place. It just needs cleaning up, and possibly some sort of reorganization, because you just can't tell if you're walking on a path or a grave. Does anyone know how I can organize something to clean the place up, and keep it that way? It's a real shame, espcially because you can stand in this shambles of a cemetary and look across the street at the beautiful, clean national one.
