Resolved Question: What does the law say about transporting medication across state lines?
Let's say I have a friend who lives in the state of California. This friend of mine has a doctor's prescription for medicinal cannabis or anything else containing the chemical THC. In the great state of CA if a licensed medical professional writes an Rx for weed, that patient is then issued a medical marijuana card. With that card you are able to enter any government authorized dispensary and purchase any amount of whatever strand of herb they've got in season. A cardholder may consume, possess and even grow these plants legally. However, selling it without the proper business licensing will still get a felony slapped on your record. Presenting your Rx license to the authorities will dismiss you from any drug possession charges. Now, if this friend of mine is going on vacation outside of CA...to NY let's say. Can he legally take his meds with him if he provides the proper documentation to customs officials? And what if he wasn't thinking and packs his meds in his suitcase. What would happen to him if let's say the baggage handler at LAX performs a luggage inspection on his bag and discovers his medicine bottle full of fragrant greenery? Would he be allowed to dispose of it before boarding the plane if it's forbidden on board, or does it become a criminal issue at that point?

Voting Question: In the UK, if one is handling their own case in the Civil Courts?
Is it possible to report the opposing solicitor to the Solicitors Regulation Authority if he is not following the rules?
Four months ago this solicitor was ordered by the Court to produce a particular document within 56 days for inspection by myself .
He failed to do so, so I proceeded with my case on the basis that this document did not exist. He has now produced the relevant document in the document disclosures.

Voting Question: What are tenants rights, under U.S., and Illinois, law?
Are landlords allowed to control tenants lives, through various types of harrassment, such as harrassment inspections? This question is for any legal professionals, who can quote applicable laws. Such tenant harrassment can include inspectors insisting that apartments are filthy, when the unit is, actually as clean as move in day. I just wonder if landlords can give tenants such an ultimatum as: Either you give us written permission, to invade the unit, whenever we choose, without notice, or you will face eviction, for refusing to live in terror of us. We have MANAGEMENT titles, and that is all we need, to be right. The question is: Can management legally harrass tenants, in this way, under federal, or state, law? I know I should move out of the property, and I will, when I have the money. For the time being, I need to know my rights, under the law. I need to know if management is allowed to flaunt its authority, in this way, but logging my place as filthy, just because they say so? If they want to demand un-scheduled, random, inspections, can I be evicted, if I decline to agree to this? Prior to eighteen months ago, I had no real problems, with management. These issues only began after management was forced to evict a very bad trouble-maker, who was black, and let his victims, like myself, who are white, stay in the building, since most of us had years of residency, while the trouble-maker only lived on the property, for months. I know management wants to get rid of us, out of retaliation, but the question is: How far will the law let management go, in its retaliatory efforts? I would, really, like to know. Any information will be appreciated.

Resolved Question: Seriously, Jehovah's Witnesses, doesn't this seem odd to you? (Repost)?
After doing a lot of research on how and when the 1914 "parousia" and 1918-1919 "inspection" doctrines began, it seemed to me that this is what happened, in a nutshell...
Thirty years AFTER 1914 had come and gone, this "revelation" takes place:
"Oops! Even though the world, as we know it, didn't come to an end in 1914, we just realized something else happened that year! Jesus came when we thought He was already here (in 1874), and He apparently examined us in 1918-19, found favor and gave us special authority (as the Faithful and Discreet Slave) that CT Russell (the FDS) had already taken credit for. We NOW know we have been given authority over all God's belonings (as God's mouthpiece/chosen organization). Good thing, because we have already been exercising this authority all along! Who knew?!?"
I'm not asking this to taunt you. I'm skeptical any time a person claims to have special authority from God, whether it be the Governing Body, the pope, or Bob on the corner. I just can't understand how anyone could not see a problem with this! I didn't even know about it until I researched Wikipedia (with sources cited) and the "Proclaimers" book, last night. So I'm wondering you guys already knew that these doctrines were established 30 years after the events were supposed to take place? Wouldn't that be like figuring out Jesus had been raised from the dead 30 years later?
Again, this isn't meant as an attack!
Please take these quotes to heart:
?Any organization that claims to be the way of salvation should be willing to submit to scrutiny and criticism.? (Awake 8/22/84, p. 28)
"We would not refuse to treat one as a brother because he did not believe the Society is the Lord's channel. If others see it in a different way, that is their priviledge. There should be full liberty of conscience." (WT 4/1/1920)
Kortalus: the difference here is their credibility is shot regarding their claims to have special, and I mean EXCLUSIVE, authority from God!

Resolved Question: What years did Jehovah's Witnesses begin to teach...?
1) That Jesus returned in 1914, instead of 1874?
2) That Jesus did an inspection in 1918/1919 and granted exclusive authority to the religious leaders of the JW religion?
Weren't these teachings formed several years after the fact?
I want to make sure I have my facts straight, so please provide WT quotes as evidence. Thanks! :)
I found the answer to the first q:
"Russell also came to be persuaded that Christ's invisible presence had begun in 1874.* "
footnote reads:
*. . . A clearer understanding of Biblical chronology was published in 1943, in the book The Truth Shall Make you Free, and it was then refined the following year in the book The Kingdom Is at Hand, as well as in later publications."
-"Proclaimers," pg 133
Anyone know when the "inspection" teaching began? Since it's based on the 3.5 year mark, following 1914, it must have been well after that, correct?
And, according to wiki, CT Russell had been considered the "faithful and discreet slave" from 1896-1927!

Resolved Question: My landlord wouldn't turn the heat on?
I live in a apartment building. and it is freezing cold in our building. I have to jackets in my home. And I have to leave to stove to get a little. We told the landlord but have just laughed in our face. We been calling the housing authority but all they keep saying is to just bundle up. They said they even called him and the landlord said that it was already on. But he lied. We been trying to tell them to do a inspection but they never want to come out and do it. I would buy a space heater but it's expensive and my electricity bill will be high. Please give me some suggestions on what to do?

Resolved Question: Jehovah's Witnesses: When and WHY did this change?
"WE WOULD NOT REFUSE TO TREAT ONE AS A BROTHER because he did not believe the Society is the Lord's channel. If others see it in a different way, THAT IS THEIR PRIVELEDGE. There should be FULL LIBERTY OF CONSCIENCE." Watchtower, April 1, 1920, pp. 100-101.
That truly sounds like a Christian approach. Notice this was in 1920 AFTER "the inspection." Now, if you do not believe the Watchtower Society to be God's chosen organization, or dare to question their authority and/or teachings, you are DISFELLOWSHIPPED AND SHUNNED!!!
WHAT A STARK CONTRAST!
So, when and WHY did this change?
Moises (Catman), either you can answer my question, or you can ask your own!
