Open Question: Estranged from parents as an adult?
I am 38 years old and have found myself having to cutting off my abusive elderly parents. My parents have always been abusive. All my life they have been abusive physically and psychologically as a young child my father would tie me up with rope hang my upside down to a door knob by my feet and belt the soles of my feet and body as punishment while my mother watched and encouraged. He would belt me and leave cuts on my body. He would stomp on me and punch me leaving burses. My mother also would punch me, kick me, stomp on me, scratch me with her nails, spit on me or send me to primary school with no food as punishment. Both of them would tell me I am stupid, it was a disaster I was born, you?re a dog and other very nasty verbal abuse. Toys I were given were smashed by my mother as punishment. As I child I hated them both. I moved away from them at 19 and have kept in contact. I gave them little personal life detail as my mother was always confrontational or had a opinion I did not need. It took me most of my 20's to get over my rough childhood. I forgave them both for all my childhood misgivings. I got married 6 years ago to the women of my dreams we have 2 children now and I have a successful job nice house. Since being married I have tried to involved my parents more in my life so my kids can have grandparents. They have not shown a lot of interest. From the beginning my mother and farther have been rude, nasty and insulting to wife regularly. My wife has forgiven them for my sake each time. My mother is an incredibly jealous woman, when she becomes jealous she gets nastier and she makes up lies and rumour to other relatives about my wife and I. We went on an overseas holiday and since finding out she became more rude, nasty and insulting from her jealousy. She says things like your a woman, your too nice to your wife put the money on your mortgage. When I tell her to stop saying thing like that she tells me I am not her son I don't want you at my funeral. Then my father will tell me god will punish you for answering back to your mother. They have caused me feelings of depression over the last few years, I have taken anti-depression pills and it has put a lot of stress on my marriage. My father was siding with me for a change so my mother lied to him and told him I hit her years ago that is a total lie. I told him this is a lie. She told this lie to my only sister and her (scond) husband. He was defending her so foolishly I told him some of the nasty thing she has been also saying about him. My sister is now not taking to me for doing this and I am sure my mother has encorraged her. I have apologiesd over the phone, email and text she has not contacted me. I haven't spoken to them in 6 months nor have they contacted me nor did we communicate over Christmas? I fell like I am cutting them off forever but I feel guilty due their age both in there 70's. I still want a relashionship with my sister she has ignored my attempts. What should I do? (more...)

New Report Details Extensive Corporate Lobbying for Increased Immigration WASHINGTON, Jan. 6 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- A new report from the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) finds that over the past three years dozens of well-known American corporations, representing virtually every sector of the economy, have committed extensive resources lobbying for increased immigration, more foreign guest-workers, and amnesty for illegal aliens. Many of these same corporations that have pressured Congress to provide them a cheap labor supply have recently been pink-slipping their existing workers and seeking federal taxpayer bailouts. The report, Immigration Lobbying: A Window into the World of Special Interests, is the first and only study of lobbying on immigration policy and reveals a scope of influence previously unknown. FAIR's Immigration Lobbying report uncovers how in the past three years, 521 corporations, trade associations, business groups, labor organizations, government entities, educational institutions, and non-profit groups attempted to influence key congressional immigration-related legislation. Only about 2 percent of these organizations supported reductions in immigration and enhanced enforcement of U.S. immigration laws. The rest -- 98 percent -- fought for increased immigration, amnesty and more foreign guest workers. In addition, FAIR's report shows that over 58 percent of the lobbying on immigration between 2006 and 2008 was carried out by American corporations and business and trade associations ranging from high tech to agriculture. Their primary goals included: * Amnesty for the estimated 13 million illegal aliens residing in the U.S. * Dramatic increases in both low-skill and high-skill foreign guest workers. * Increased admission of foreign students to U.S. universities, and subsequent entry to the U.S. labor market. It is very correct to say the individual can lobby for change. It is not correct to suggest lobby groups were what the founding fathers had in mind. Hello, Well they story is: I was on Yahoo Answers and this girl asked a question "What age did you pluck your eyebrows at?" and i answered " I plucked my eyebrows last week and I am 12" so then the girl deleted my answer and yahoo sent me an email saying that they suspended me from yahoo answers, and the also asked if i would like to complain, and I did complain, because nothing is wrong with that. So since i complained the wouldn't let me go on my account, and that is the only account I have all my friends emails, and phone number and everything, and i don't have it written anywhere else. I also live in Australia and i was woundering if anyone knew they number to yahoo so i could call them and ask them what has happened. Also when i try sign in it say "Do you have trouble signing in" so i said yes, and then it came up with this page saying "did you forget your password etc" and i click" i forgot my password" I wrote in my details than i click enter and it get me to another page which says something about "custmor service documation help or somthing like that". So if anyone has any idea what to do please write it down, and it would mean the world, just please help, because I don't want to loos contact with my friends, as most of us will never see eachother again, as we just finished primary and we are all going to different high schools!!!! Open Question: How do you connect to the internet with a PSP?
Give me every little detail you guys possibly can, and how do you find the Network's Access point WEP number and The IP. address for the Network around you? Also the Default Router, Primary DNS and Secondary DNS? Did you retards read what I typed? How do you Find the connection of the Network's IP.address? and the WEP key? It won't allow me to go on the internet with out it I presume. It always does the connecting process and says "obtaining IP address.. please wait" and then after about a minute it says "A connection error has occured. The attempt to obtain the IP address timed out." and is it the Proxy Servers fault? It wants me to put a Address for that as well every time I set up the connection Network manually. And cshould I use the Proxy Server? I did everything correct to give my PSP internet connection except probaly one single mistake. how can the current flow in the primary coil of a Ideal transformer even when the emf induced is equal to the applied voltage . i have a deep conceptual doubt please explain in detail. yes i mean back emf . in our text book we have the case of ideal transformer with no resistance therefore by6 applying kirchoffs voltage law to the primary we find that the applied emf is equal to the back emf in that case potential difference is zero then how can the current flow. ok does that mean that the current that is used to overcome the resistance also produces the flux or some other extra current is used to produce the flux.
